In front of a dark aquarium tank, I waited while a jellyfish drifted through drifting particles. Its long tentacles kept crossing their own paths, leaving what looked like handwriting made of light — a constellation being drawn and erased at the same time. Nothing here is composited: only darkness, patience, and the light that was already in the water. The deep sea has always been our closest universe.
