Captured from the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania, this panoramic view reveals the vast ecosystem that has formed within the caldera of an ancient collapsed volcano. Layers of drifting clouds cast moving shadows across the immense grasslands below, while mist gathers along the crater walls. This natural amphitheater—one of the largest intact volcanic calderas on Earth—creates a unique sanctuary where wildlife and landscape exist within a self-contained world shaped by deep geological time.
I’m Eric Ang, born in the United States and of Chinese heritage. I graduated from Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, with a background in Fine Art. Photography began as a personal pursuit during my travels, becoming a way for me to observe and connect with people, places, and quiet moments that often go unnoticed. My work is guided by an interest in light, form, and atmosphere, often focusing on subtle expressions and restrained compositions.
