For modern individuals, the city is an object of desire and admiration. However, people living in the city often feel conflict and loneliness within its rules, fast pace, and hidden structures. Actual urban images, architectural lines, colors, and human figures are layered through digital collage, blurring the boundary between reality and the virtual. Through this process, the city is reconstructed beyond a physical space into a psychological space. The triangular relationship among the city, modern individuals, and architecture is a subject I continue to explore.
With a background in computer engineering and design, and years of experience teaching and mentoring students at the university, I turned to photography as a way to soften a long-held sense of rigidity within myself. Through the camera’s narrow frame, I began to see the world more expansively, and I continue to be drawn to photography for its capacity to convey thoughts and inner states that cannot be fully articulated through language alone.
