A rare snowfall transformed the beach of Knokke into an almost monochrome landscape where sea, sky and sand seemed to dissolve into one another. Reduced to their essential forms, the dunes, fences and a solitary set of dog tracks become quiet markers of presence in an otherwise empty world. These images embrace the minimalism of a fleeting winter moment—an uncommon sight on the Belgian coast, where snow rarely settles and such scenes disappear almost as quickly as they arrive.
