Inferno originally existed as a separate work. The orange light visible here is a fragment of that earlier piece. After exhibiting Inferno, I experienced a long period of illness. That time felt like an inferno to me. This work is a collage of the original Inferno and a self-portrait. The fire did not disappear. It moved inward and became part of my inner energy.
