I have turned my body into a place of experience. These images emerge from an exploration of embodiment, colour and movement. The figure appears and disappears; form shifts, dissolves and reforms. Rather than describing identity, I use the body to enter experience more fully. Colour, light and movement become part of its transformation. Living as a work of art is not about creating beauty. It is about inhabiting life so completely that every gesture becomes creation. These images speak of presence rather than representation. It is not about fading away. It is about emerging.
Of Italian mother and Corsican father, Laetitia Farellacci grew up in Corsica before moving to Milan at sixteen. The island’s energy, contrasts, and intensity have always shaped her gaze. Raised in the silence of the darkroom, she explored still life and portraiture, then found in self-portraiture a space for introspection. Since 2021, her personal journey has evolved into an artistic practice that now embraces and guides other women in a space of connection, where photography becomes exploration, transformation, and discovery.
