´Wings of Silence´ is a portrait series that explores the subtle dialogue between stillness and movement, fabric and skin, the ephemeral and the eternal. Through textures, gestures, and quiet emotion, the images evoke the ghostly beauty of early ballet photography and the spiritual delicacy of a dragonfly’s wings. Created especially for and in artistic collaboration with prima ballerina Alina Cojocaru.
I’m a Brazilian living in Portugal, with a heart that belongs to the world. I started photographing dance in 2009, the same year I took my first ballet class, at the age of 21. I have over 15 years of experience as a dance photographer, and I also work as a creative director, brand strategist, communicator and visual researcher. Above all, I’m an artist who is passionate about classical ballet—its stories, symbols, and aesthetics.
