This project is about my experience of Basque Country within several days I spent there. The Basque flag carries bright red, green, and white. Yet while these colors fill the streets, my perception of the Basque cities shifted toward indigo blue and deep red. During my stay there I began to uncover my own urban Basque palette. Indigo blue evokes fishermen, labor, and the Atlantic’s presence; red speaks of struggle, resistance, and freedom. Green emerges from the oak tree—symbol of traditional Biscayan freedoms—and from the green richness of the landscapes that shaped my journey.
