November 23, 2024, 7a.m., overlooking Bryce Canyon at Sunrise Point. I captured the photo in RAW format with my Canon 5D Mark IV and added no adjustments to the post-processing. Bryce Canyon is known for its beautiful sunrises over the canyon, and most pictures you see are of the canyon after the sun rises above the horizon. In my case, I love when the sun isn't quite up yet, but it is painting the sky with amazing colors bouncing off the clouds as its rays shine through the darkness. We arrived early and saw a grand masterpiece of orange, yellows, and reds on the morning sky's canvas.
I have enjoyed taking pictures all my life. In March 2018, I captured a real-life snowflake resembling a flower. I fell in love with it and began pursuing macro photography. My photographs became the illustrations in my book series, Washed as White as Snow. The snowflake designs tell different aspects of the story of Jesus Christ's good news for the world. I believe God creates and uses the snowflakes to magnify how all creation glorifies Him by telling the story of His redeeming love for mankind. I enjoy taking nature photos and sharing God's beauty in plants, animals, and landscapes.
