"The Teeth of Time" is both a geological study and a commentary on the idea of convergence: the recurring tendency in nature for different forces to produce similar forms, echoing patterns across environments and timescales. Photographed at night using custom aerial lighting rigs, this series isolates and reframes these geological structures. Shaped over millennia by the forces of gravity, water, and wind; they are now sculpted again: this time by light. With precise illumination, their forms are not altered, but redefined. Contours are revealed, and hidden details made visible.
Liam Man is a UK-based landscape photographer specialising in aerial light painting. He illuminates scenes at night using custom lighting rigs attached to drones, transforming the darkness into his canvas, upon which he uncovers hidden textures and contours that remain invisible during the day. His work is dedicated to changing how we see our world and has allowed him to work with organisations such as the United Nations, as well as becoming ambassadors for both Sony and Epson.
