This project documents and explores ice fishing huts found on lakes across Quebec and Canada. These structures are made from recycled materials and in the past, remained on frozen lakes for about four months. Recently however, that period has shrunk to just one month, and in some places, they are no longer permitted at all. The rising temperatures have caused these changes rapidly. Ice huts offer a glimpse into a winter traditionand a way of life. Today, however, they carry a more urgent significance, symbolizing the effects of climate change.
