KALIA, beauty in Greek, is a visual tribute to the perfection of the small natural treasures (leaves, seeds...) that surround us but sometimes go unnoticed in our rushed everyday lives. My intention is to capture the organic forms, the beauty and majesty of nature. I invite the viewer to pause and admire this spectacle that surrounds us.
Born in Mexico City from French family and based in the city of Queretaro, Mexico. Guylaine Couttolenc has been an artistic and commercial photographer for 30 years. Photography has always been for me a discipline of artistic expression and a vehicle that helps me to stop to contemplate and observe my environment thus achieving a deep assimilation of what surrounds me. She has been teaching photography for 18 years at the ITESM University and by her own. She has earned the MFA in Photography degree, Cum Laude, at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, USA.
