"when the stars fell from the sky" is a print series and photo book project that depicts my experience in the face of debilitating grief and loss. Although it is personal, it is meant to speak more universally, to the what happens to us as humans—what happens to our psyche—when we are faced with a life event that we never saw coming and find difficult to maneuver...And the way we find the strength to recover and thrive.
Diana Nicholette Jeon is an award-winning contemporary artist who lives and works in Honolulu, HI. She holds an MFA from UMBC. She exhibits internationally; venues include Honolulu Museum of Art, Kirsch Gallery, Griffin Museum of Photography, Disorder Gallery in Sydney and Blue Sky Gallery. Jeon’s art has been featured in Lenscratch, Gente di Fotografia, SHOTS Magazine, Pf Magazine, the Art Photo Index, among others.
