In a valley between mountain peaks stood Herzegovina's aluminum factory—a lifeline for workers whose lives revolved around it. Wars, politics, and mismanagement took their toll, but worker resilience kept it alive. Today, the global push for green energy puts the aging, energy-intensive industry at risk. Workers return daily, aware of the challenges of their time. Their fight is for families, communities, and hope. The factory survives, not due to machines, but to its people—resilient amid change. This photo series captures workers shrouded in darkness and uncertainty.
