Meanwhile, In Tbilisi

  • Photographer
    Paola Signorelli

Tbilisi reveals its past and present, silence and chaos, spirituality and daily life without filters. Walking alone with my camera, I gathered fragments — places, gestures, atmospheres — creating an urban mosaic of contrasts in unexpected balance. This series doesn’t explain the city but conveys the subtle feeling of those who walk it, where tradition and modernity engage in a vibrant dialogue.

I approached photography many years ago, initially to take photos during trips or special occasions. But then I felt the need to go beyond, to understand what photography truly meant. This led me to study at the Academy of Luciano Perbellini, a journey that completely transformed my approach to photography. Today, I don’t photograph just to capture a memory, but to express myself. Through images, I try to convey what words cannot say. I photograph because it makes me feel good; it’s my way to slow down, listen to myself, and observe the world around me.
