A Foggy, Moody Floodplain Forest

  • Photographer
    Martin Kucera

I like to wander in the floodplain forests of the Danube river near where I live and discover new corners. On this day, a thick fog shrouded the landscape in a quiet, dreamy atmosphere that transformed familiar places into a magical world full of secrets. Fallen trees, still waters, and glimpses of orange leaves in a flood of grey-blue mist created a scene that seemed otherworldly - peaceful yet charged with the quiet energy of nature. Every step in this forest was like a journey into an unknown story.

Photography has been a part of my life since I was a child, as my father was a fan of photography, we also had a darkroom at home. So at first I unconsciously perceived all the things around photography and later I started to try it all in practice. Photography is my passion and part of my life, even though I don’t do it professionally or commercially. I am constantly trying to improve and understand the world of photography even better. I don’t avoid any genre but my favorite genre is landscape photography. Landscape photography and nature is what I photograph the most and I like it most.
