This series contains images of the night sky - from some of the darkest sky regions in India. I have travelled extensively to different parts of the country in order to shoot the starry skies with some iconic landmarks, both natural and man-made. While some of the images have been shot using equatorial or alt-azimuth mounts, others are plain stacked. Also, the foregrounds range from an abandoned factory in an urban set up to Himalayan Mountain ranges.
I am a self taught photographer. In the last17 years I have delved into multiple genres of photography. However, I developed special interest in widefield asrophotography and Landscapes. My passion for shooting star trails and astro-landscapes has ensured that I have travelled to the farthest corners of my country (lugging my heavy gears) - from the Himalayas to Kanyakumari, and from Nagaland to Gujarat and Rajasthan. My images have been published in magazines like Smart Photography, Chiz, Bon, etc. and have received awards in national and international salons.
