This series of works graphically reconstructs urban architectural facades by breaking them down into elements of colour, composition and light. Functional structures are abstracted by shooting angles and cropping, and redefined as coloured surfaces and geometric shapes. The architectural structures themselves are sublimated into visual motifs by paying close attention to the proportions, rhythms of shape and the texture of light in the picture plane.
Nice to meet you all. I am a photographer based in Japan. My favourite genres of photography are street snapshots and architectural photography. I live in an ordinary city, neither urban nor rural. I love to find and photograph the artistic aspects of these not so special places. My photos don't show many special or unusual things, but I hope you will be interested in my photos.
