Like a ship reaching port it empties its hold on the dock: ropes, trunks of costumes, wigs, hats, lights and strange toys. Suddenly you stand before a world of fleeting emotions. Music echoes from open hatches as weird characters in extravagant outfits, colorful wigs and bold makeup invite you aboard to join them and share the thrill of a brand-new journey. Emotions that resurface the next day when suddenly, just as it arrived, the ship goes out to sea to carry on its journey on the lookout for a new landing.
My name is Michele Rizzo, and I discovered my passion for photography in 2017. I love images that convey emotions: I’m not looking for technical perfection but rather a story, a message that adds depth and meaning to the photograph. I shoot both in color and black and white, experimenting with different styles and techniques. However, for me, light is always the most important element.
