When I arrived at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon I was struck by the serene scene of iceberg-strewn waters of the lagoon. Every day, hundreds of boats take tourists around iceberg-studded waters to witness a treasure vanish. Despite its beauty, the scene of the melting ice glacier of the Vatnajökull, Iceland’s largest ice cap is a dramatic and poignant result of a 'warming' world. I think it is important to show the fragile beauty of our planet: through the scenery of melting glaciers, I would like to awaken those emotions that scientific reports and data are probably still unable to produce.
As a lifelong lover of travel, nature and landscape, I have tried to combine this interest with my other great passion: photography. The attraction for distant lands was developed at an early age, but only in recent years have I had the opportunity to venture into the remotest corners of the world and then tell the stories, through photographs to an increasingly wide and passionate audience. My camera is my faithful traveling companion, helping me to capture and enhance the details, while at the same time enhancing and respecting the environment portrayed.
