BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is a Hindu temple in the heart of Neasden, London. The prayer room and great hall are adorned with intricately carved and patterned Bulgarian limestone and built according to ancient Hindu texts. At the heart of the building is an impressive 2.5 tonne keystone that descends like a chandelier to lock each part of the structure in place. This was a rare opportunity gaining access to photograph the wonderful interior architecture, that would normally be prohibited. I used Kodak Portra 800 medium format film and the Mamiya RB67 camera for this project.
