"Photo-Synthèse" is a photographic project that aims to reveal the invisible process of photosynthesis, not through a scientific representation, but by evoking emotions, sensations and reflections. Photosynthesis, fundamental to our existence, is a natural phenomenon that, although imperceptible to the naked eye, produces the oxygen necessary for the survival of all forms of life on Earth. To visualize this invisible process, I used glass plates as a metaphor for the crystalline lens of the human eye, which together with the cornea allows light rays to be focused on the retina.
Archaeologist by training, I chose photography as my personal one “Medium” to lead you directly into my universe made of deep and intimate interconnections with the world around me. My research is aimed at capturing those textures that resist the machination of the modern and which lead us towards a contact with a "Self Other" through the elaboration and production of images, sometimes abstract, with the aim of restoring a dreamlike and sensorial vision of reality in the observer.
