On a busy tourist-filled weekend, I found myself alone with a panoramic view of Mount Shuksan and Mount Baker along the Artist Point Trail in the north of Western Washington. A cloudy sky diffused the sun leaving a soft haze over the vista. Trees and undergrowth surrounded me as I stood in awe of the scene before me.
