A week after announcing their new album, The Hives played four small UK venues during their stadium tour with Arctic Monkeys. One of them was The Fleece in Bristol, a legendary 400-capacity venue with no photo pit and two stage-side pillars. The show sold out in minutes. I shot from the crowd as Howlin' Pelle used the pillars to get closer to fans, and the audience celebrated the band's return. Capturing this high-energy rock band in such an intimate setting was incredible — and somehow, my gear survived.
