This photo was taken in Washington, DC. It was one of the first protests of the Israel-Palestine War and most participants seemed to be neophyte protestors. There was no violence, no name-calling, no nastiness, only grief and sadness.

I am a native New Yorker, an audio editor, and the author of three non-fiction books, one of which, "The Cowboy Catalog," became a best-seller. I have a degree in French Literature and Journalism from New York University, but my greatest teacher has been New York City itself. Exiled now to Washington, DC, my mind and heart still run on New York time. That means I love drama, action, noise, the off-beat and outspoken, the theatre of the street. Tell me you see any of these in my photographs and I will be your friend for life.
