In June 2024, I launched a photo series celebrating the Indigenous roots of Houston's Latin community, with a focus on reclaiming ancestral heritage. This project raises awareness about the importance of preserving traditions and cultural identity. Each participant is featured in a triptych: a black-and-white portrait, a double exposure, and a faded image of a culturally significant object. The series symbolizes the struggle to reclaim history, celebrate diversity, and connect the past with the present, fostering pride and empowerment.
