The photographic project "Young and Tradition" includes a series of frames from the meeting with the "Lyceum of Greek Women” on the island of Salamina. The "Lyceum of Greek Women” is an organization with the aim of the preservation and promotion of the Greek cultural heritage. The idea of the photographic project was based on the association between the young people and the traditions-customs of the place Salamina. The element of documentary capture gives a pure identity but also presents a greater interest in the style of the project.
Ypatia Kornarou was born in Athens where she takes pictures and lives. She firstly studied economics and then she continued her studies in photography. In March 2024 she held her first solo exhibition entitled “Phenomenon” in Russia, in the city of Nizhny Tagil at Gallery Space Place. On June 2nd, the photography exhibition “Phenomenon” transfered to the Museum of Fine Arts in Nizhny Tagil, Russia.
