During a week’s holiday to the island of Ærø in Denmark, I went to the beach every morning to make a long exposure of the bathing jetty. Every morning something went wrong; the light wasn’t right, or the tide was too low. On the last morning the conditions were perfect, and I started the long exposure. One minute into the exposure a woman appeared, she undressed and ran naked onto the jetty, jumped into the water, swam around for a moment, climbed up the stairs and ran back. Unfortunately, my exposure was too long so she did not stick.
I am a multi awarding outdoor photographer from Denmark with an interest in making images depicting human elements in the landscape. I often use a minimalistic style in composition and colour palette. Since 2021 I have been exhibiting my photographs in various galleries in Denmark. www.kimharding.dk
