"Impression Studies" is a series of image practice that attempts to capture the essence of everyday landscapes through light, shadow, color and the impressions they evoke. Light, which manifests through the colors and the intensity of shadows, forming volumetric color masses with overlaps and gradients between them, composed to evoke "impression". By intentionally defocusing the photos to obscure the details and textures, and blurring the boundaries between things, I depict the captivating interplay of light and color within the everyday urban landscapes. This is my "Impression Studies".

The city is my church and photography is the hymn I offer. Based in Taichung, Taiwan.
