In this work I attempted to depict emotional isolation. Sometimes we even feel completely distant from our closest ones. As if we could look at each other, but at the same time we are separated from each other as if by a pane of glass. We can hug, touch, feel, and yet so much divides one from the other. It often seems impossible to really get to know one another, and we seem to wave at each other as if through a transparent wall. What is closeness, and what is distance? Sarah Mo Praschak lives and works in Linz. In October 2023, she finished her degree at the art university in graphic-design and photography. She is also member in the studio community Atelierhaus Salzamt and works as a moderator in different free media stations. She mainly works analogue and was also working as student assistant at the photo studio in the art university in Linz. In her mostly conceptual works, she is primarily concerned with the expression of different emotions, mostly with herself as a subject in front of the camera, and tries to evoke different narratives through her body.
