"Swallow" is a conceptual self-portrait that depicts struggling with mental health in an ever-demanding society. Born from my own personal emotions, this work intends to serve as a reminder of the hidden battles we face, fighting to perceive the world as it is when we feel drowned in the anxieties within. In an additional layer, the work addresses the confrontation between pain and the transformative reality offered by the pharmacological.
