“Dialogue with Art” becomes a visual investigation into how the groundbreaking aesthetics and techniques of modern art continue to inspire artists today. In this series, I transform photographs into images that resemble expressive paintings and drawings. Abstracted, contorted, and pushed towards the surreal, these images explore the influence of my own favorite artists, Georgio Morandi and Pablo Picasso.
Elli Asker is a multidisciplinary artist based in Stockholm, born and raised in Baku (former Soviet Union). Hold a bachelor's degree in political science. Without barriers in her creative research, she tries her hand at photography, collages, and various experiments. In her work, Elli investigates the relationship between experiences of PTSD healing, queer and immigrant identities.
