Morocco wrote World Cup history as the first African and Arab country to reach the tournament's semi-finals. For a lot of expatriates or youth, born and/or raised in other parts of the world, this event was not only a sporting success but also a moral comeback from lots of discrimination suffered living abroad. Both the African and Arab communities, regardless of the country of origin, took to the streets and celebrated together this occasion. These photos were taken in Bologna, Italy, home of one of the biggest Arab and African communities in Italy.

Vincenzo Parisi is an independent photographer based in Bologna, Italy. He attended the Foto Image photography school from 2015 to 2018. In 2017 he presented his first two exhibitions at the “Corte di Felsina” in Bologna, Italy and two photos were chosen by the editorial staff of “National Geographic” as part of the annual competition. Since 2019 he has participated in the "H20 Planet" project by "7milamiglialontano", a non-profit association in Brescia, Italy. In 2021 he concludes his first personal documentary work, "Down on the short road near the Causeway".
