This series was created with my 3 daughters during the global pandemic .The pictures were not taken in our home, but in different houses that we stayed during the lockdown.As an immigrant who is interested in the question of belonging, I explored the essence of connection to a place that does not belong to us.I asked myself: What does “home” mean?Is it a place where I feel comfortable?a spiritual rootedness? or is it connected to a cultural background? I checked how my kids settle into a foreign home and audit Does the place impact our sense of home or does our sense of home impact the place?
Born: 1982, Israel, Lives and works in Berlin. Graduated in 2009 from the Department of Photography at Wizo Academy of Design and Education, Haifa, Israel. Completed in 2015 the master’s program at the Ostkreuzschule fu?r Fotografie, Berlin, Germany. In her work she constantly investigates personality, social and imaginary themes inspired by different people she has encountered and know, among them some of her family members.Her photographs deal with childhood and family.She is represented by the Hezi Cohen Gallery in Tel Aviv, and the Podbielski Contemporary Gallery in Milan.
