The People of Northern Kenya After 7 Years of Drought

Following the worst drought in living history, the tribes of northern Kenya have been forced to adapt massively to stay alive. Gone are their nomadic days as they were forced to remain close to very specific locations, usually small towns and other settlements with steady supplies of water. Gone was their reliance on foraging as the ground dried up. And finally, with their flocks decimated, they turned to other survival sources, including becoming workers for large companies or turning to the tourist trade. The last 8 years have resulted in an entire generation who have never been nomads
