"Archetypes" is a project that explores the symbols of my homeland, the island of Capri. Elements such as rocks, the sea, and the moon are disembodied and isolated as primordial symbols. Darkness allows me to interpret reality as a painter, creating impossible dialogues between earth and sky, the rocks and shadows. “Archetypes” is a symbolist research that interprets reality beyond the boundary of our space/time dimension. I alter the state of nature and evoke memories of the metaphysical world from which we were torn apart when conceived in the flesh

Greatly inspired by the masters of symbolism such as Odilon Redon and Karl Wilhem Diefenbach, the recurrent themes in my works are identity and existentialism. My past experiences deeply shaped my obsessions as an artist. As a child, I faced social isolation and grew up as an outcast. These struggles corroded my sense of identity, and made me question what is my place in this world. Photography became my escape and to this day is still my form of therapeutic art.
