Every evening shadows came to our room in the hotel at the sea. I wanted to catch them with my camera but children did not want to pose, because they were at vacation and wanted to swim and run and be free from their mother-photographer. Then one evening I caught them watching tv and it was a right moment, a right glance, a right light, a right dress, everything a photo is made of, and I made this one shot, combining the memories of summer heat, salty wind, sand and childhood of my daughter Katya who is 7 at this picture and one month later she went to school and opened a new page of her life.
