These spaceship-like lenticular clouds were spotted hovering over a remote road in Kaibab National Forest, AZ. Perhaps these particular lenticulars sucked up what other few hapless vehicles passed along this lonely road. Lenticular clouds often appear during high winds and eerily hover instead of drift like other clouds. They are formed by vertical waves of wind which cause the air temperature to drop at the crest enabling water vapor to condense into clouds.
