It was mid winter in the Himalayas, I climbed from the village of Gokyo up to the mountain. Only few lights were lit from the village due to the low season. On the other side of Ngozumpa glacier, Makalu, Lhotse, and Everest were lit up by alpenglow. It was such a contrast between the majestic mountains and the small village in the middle of nowhere.
