Darukhana is an Industrial area to the North of Mumbai known for the construction sites in which they come demolished and reused naval parts,where about 6,000 people dismantle 20,000 tons of cargo ships in 12 weeks. Working conditions are dangerous for both the dismantling method, as for substances highly toxic present.The surrounding areas are affected by chemical pollution due to the various liquids discharged into the water used from the inhabitants to wash and cook.Man from rural areas of Pakistan risk the life every day a daily pay of less than 2 euros
I started photography in 1976 at age 19 with a film camera and self-taught. I learned to print in the darkroom, developing film and printing in black and white. Subsequently, for about twenty years, I dedicated myself to wedding photography services until eight years ago I started dedicating myself to a different gender with intent to create something that could satisfy me on an emotional level. The passion shifts to current social and documentary themes.
