2020 was a year unlike any other. As the world stood still under lockdown and quarantine amid the COVID-19 pandemic, nature continued in her ways and offered solace during a time of uncertainty. In the ultimate “staycation”, the photographs in this book were made in Grand Rapids, Michigan area parks beginning March 23 when the stay-at-home order was announced; documenting seasonal and other noteworthy subjects through the end of December. Among many events, 2020 may be looked back upon as the year that when the world stood still, we rediscovered nature among us–herself unquarantined.
An award-winning videographer and producer, I live and breathe the craft. I am at my finest when wielding a camera; whether DSLR, camcorder, gimbal, or drone.
