Even in the heart of winter, the sun can break through with a radiance that promises even the coldest days can shine with warmth. I had Nordic skied by this area in Truckee, CA many times hoping for a clear morning after a snowfall. After my fifth time lugging my camera gear 2 miles on skis to this location, I was delighted to capture this panorama.
