In September 2020, Azerbaijani troops carried out a massive attack on the dividing lines between the self-proclaimed republic of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan. The conflict had been latent since the 90s, and finally erupted violently at the end of September 2020. The bombings and attacks by Azerbaijani drones on towns and the main city of Stepanakert, became frequent, forcing them to evacuate and live in the basements to those who refused to leave their homes.
