At a Black Lives Matter protest in Cairns Australia, US citizen Hermela Bealfan sheds tears as she lies prostrate lying on the ground for 8 minutes and 46 seconds - the time it took police officer Derek Chauvin to kill black man George Floyd by knelling on his neck till he died on a Minneapolis USA street. The death of Floyd sparked World wide protests including in Cairns during a pandemic lockdown. Cairns residents came out in their hundreds not only to protest Floyds murder but also the sickening Australian indigenous death toll ‘in custody’ - at the time 432 since 1991.
