From the very beginning, the dog has always been man's most loyal friend. The affinity, the empathy and the bond between a dog and its owner are signs of a deep connection between human beings. Touched by the nostalgia and the truthful affection I feel towards my own dog, Pasqualina, I hence started taking photographs of dogs and their owners I met out on the streets trying to get symbols that define this inter-species love. It's a tale of both companionship and solitude. It mixes irony, sweetness and melancholia and it shows us two kinds so apart one from the other mutually embrace
