200 yrs ago, John Ruskin, renown Victorian art critic, poet, painter, writer, polymath, made observations of the land & clouds for 60yrs from his London & Lake District homes. Spanning 16 mths, the same Lakes landscape of the western fells (mountains) from a 4th floor dormer window, rendered as b&w, overlaid with colour paintings, embracing a multidisciplinary practice. Here I seek to elevate the photographic medium as an art form, referential to the history of photography, originating out of both a scientific & creative desire through a movement in photography, the Pictorialist Movement.
