Hikawa Shrine Matsuri took place on September 15, 2019 in Shibuya ku. People from local communities carried the Mikoshi or the portable shrine that holds the spirit of the deity, parading down to Ebisu Station to ward off evils and misfortune. By rocking the Mikoshi, parishioners involve the deity in the fun of the festival and enliven the land. People participating rotated to carry the Mikoshi along the parade route. The event has been organized by Kobayashi Juntaro and it has been running for 5 generations.
