Thank you to everyone who joined us at the exhilarating Opening Event at the House of Lucie in Budapest to celebrate the outstanding winners of the 2023 Budapest International Foto Awards. The exhibition was a culmination of the best photography of 2023 with each image offering a unique and intimate perspective and story. Every year, the winners’ exhibition grows grander and more expansive, with the 2023 group of winners being the most diverse and impressive yet.
Among those attending were Photographer of the Year, Irona Jomir, and 1st and 2nd place winners Lucie Côté, Radek Von Hirschberg and Jana Šantavá. They were able to speak on their work and guide the audience through their image making process. In addition to the first and second place winners in each category, Gold, Silver, and Bronze winners were also shown via an on-screen slideshow. Representation from every photographic genre was present, from portrait photography, fine art photography, nature photography, and even printed examples of the winning photo books. The exhibition will remain on display until May 30th, 2024. The gallery is open Monday to Friday from 16:00 to 19:00.
